Terms of Service

Welcome to Seen. These Terms of Service are a binding agreement between you and the Seen team that governs your use of the Seen mobile application and website. They define what you are allowed to do on Seen, what we expect of you as a member of this community, and what we commit to in return. Please read them carefully before creating an account or using the app.

By creating an account or using Seen in any way, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use Seen.

1. Eligibility

Seen is intended for people who are at least 13 years old. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you may use Seen only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. By creating an account, you are confirming that you meet the minimum age requirement for your country of residence and that, if you are a minor, a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

We take this seriously. If we discover that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will terminate that account immediately and delete all associated data. If you believe a child under 13 is using Seen, please report it to us at hello@myseenapp.com.

2. Your Account

When you register for Seen, you create an account that is personal to you. You are fully responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide a valid phone number when you sign up, and you must not misrepresent who you are. Seen is a platform built around real connections between real people, and authenticity is essential to how it works.

You agree to keep your account credentials confidential and not to share access to your account with anyone else. If you ever suspect that your account has been accessed without your authorisation, please contact us immediately. You agree not to create multiple accounts or to register an account on behalf of another person without their explicit consent.

3. Acceptable Use

Seen is a platform for genuine human connection. You are welcome to use it to message, call, share moments, and stay in touch with the people in your life. What you may not do is use Seen in ways that harm others, violate the law, or undermine the integrity of the platform.

You agree not to post, share, or transmit content that is threatening, harassing, abusive, or hateful toward any individual or group. You agree not to impersonate any real person, public figure, or organisation in a way that is deceptive or misleading. You agree not to use Seen to solicit money, spread misinformation, or engage in any form of fraud or scam. You agree not to share content that sexually exploits or endangers minors under any circumstances whatsoever. You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or data that does not belong to you. You agree not to use automated scripts, bots, or any programmatic tools to access or interact with Seen without our written permission. You agree not to interfere with the operation of the app, its servers, or its network infrastructure in any way.

Violations of these commitments may result in content being removed, your account being suspended, or your account being permanently terminated, depending on the nature and severity of what occurred. In cases involving illegal activity, we may also report the matter to the appropriate authorities.

4. Content You Share

You own the content you create and share on Seen. When you post a photo, a video, or a piece of text to your profile or feed, you retain all ownership rights to that content. By posting it on Seen, however, you grant us a limited, non exclusive, royalty free licence to store, display, and distribute that content to other users of the app for the purpose of making Seen work as intended. This licence exists only to operate the platform and ends when you delete the content or close your account.

You are solely responsible for everything you share. Before posting, please consider whether you have the right to share that content, whether it could harm someone, and whether it complies with these Terms and our Community Guidelines. We do not actively review every piece of content on Seen, but we will act on reports and remove content that violates our standards.

5. Community Guidelines

In addition to these Terms, Seen has a separate set of Community Guidelines that describe the standards of behaviour we expect from every member of the community. These Guidelines go into more detail about what kinds of content and conduct are and are not acceptable on Seen. By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to follow the Community Guidelines, which are available at myseenapp.com/guidelines.

6. Privacy

Your use of Seen is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains in full detail how we collect, use, protect, and handle your personal information. We encourage you to read it. By using Seen, you acknowledge that you have reviewed our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.

7. Intellectual Property

Everything that makes up Seen as a product, including the app design, source code, branding, interface, logos, name, and all associated assets, is the intellectual property of Seen and its licensors. You are granted a personal, non transferable, non exclusive licence to use the Seen app on your own device for personal, non commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on any part of Seen without our explicit written permission.

8. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings section of the app. When you do, your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines. In cases of minor or first time violations, we may issue a warning before taking further action. In cases of severe violations, such as sharing content that exploits minors, engaging in harassment, or attempting to compromise the security of our platform, we will act immediately and without prior notice. Account terminations of this kind are not reversible.

9. Disclaimers

Seen is provided to you on an as is and as available basis. We work hard to keep the app running smoothly and reliably, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available, free from errors, or completely secure. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or fitness of the app for any particular purpose. Your use of Seen is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Seen and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or any harm resulting from content posted by other users. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of Seen shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months, if any.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Seen operates, without regard to any conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Seen that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as the product grows and as laws change. If we make material changes to how the Terms affect you, we will notify you through the app at least 7 days before those changes take effect. The date at the top of this document always reflects when the Terms were last updated. If you continue to use Seen after the new Terms take effect, you are agreeing to the updated version. If you do not agree with the changes, you may delete your account before they take effect.
